Regulars come for the weekend lunch rush but you can find quieter moments in the mid-mornings or early afternoons, when the natural light spills in and the hum of friendly conversation feels most inviting. We stopped in about 11:30 for lunch on a Saturday. My mom got a burger and ordered the chips as a side because they were out of sweet potato fries and we’re so glad she did because their chips are amazing! Not sure if it’s the cook, the seasoning, or a combination, but they could bag them up and sell them. I got a grilled cheese as part of the lunch special and they use sourdough bread which is delicious and crisp and seasoned with flaky salt and I think some rosemary. I saw that they have pot roast and a french dip so I definitely want to return. The staff is also very friendly and attentive and our table was clean and the seats very comfortable.

Husband and I stopped here after visiting our Grandpa. We was looking for a place that served vegetarian/vegan options for me and we came across Hope Floats Cafe . This is an amazing family-owned restaurant with fresh, homemade ingredients and delicious options for everyone. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was amazing and the food was outstanding. I truly love this place

Omg, we finally tried Hope Floats and were blown away! KK the new owner (who’s worked here and at Your Moms for the last 10 yrs) is super personable and the food was excellent! I got the Southwest Bacon Avo Burger and my husband got the French Dip. The baked Mac & cheese was awesome and the Brussels sprouts were good. But my favorite was the homemade chips! I’ve never had warm chips before! Light, fluffy and tasty. The iced and hot mochas were the perfect accompaniment to a delish meal! Open everyday but Tues (for now). Smithville desperately needed a resturant committed to excellence and consistency. So happy we have this!

Got the pistachio caramel latte and it was hands down the best coffee I've ever had. Great flavor and pretty presentation. Wish I had taken a photo before drinking but it was too good!

We love this place and this family. The care and warmth of the service carries through with the delicious food, which as the sign says is served with love. Just came from their special Valentines dinner which was wonderful - worth the drive from Austin! UPDATE: we took a friend and she agreed, even better than we had said! UPDATE: some great new menu items and restaurant modifications - all good!

Kaylyn is wonderful. I love the traditional menu items and the new ones. The prices, service and atmosphere were perfect with new seating too. Can’t express enough what a wonderful family dinner we had. I ordered the cowboy burger, hot chai tea and blood orange gelato for dessert and it was all so good. And I found out they have nightly dinner specials. Can’t wait to try them all. Hope floats cafe is a true hidden gem.

Order the french dip sandwich, it was hot and absolutely divine. Food worth the wait even if it was double. Coffee hit the spot on a cold day. Everything was prefect. Even the kids where full and sleepy!!!! Work every penny, Great whole in the wall for coffee, dates, food, etc.
